A club with more than 100 years of history
Over 100 years old, Club Tennis de la Salut is one of the oldest sports clubs in Barcelona. It was founded in 1902 by a group of athletes from the La Salut Social Club, created in 1899. The original name was Salut Sport Club and, in addition to tennis, at first soccer was also practiced at its facilities. In fact, when in 1911 some FC Barcelona players separated from the Barcelona entity to found Casual SC, they established their headquarters at the Salut Sport Club.
In 2002, the Club Tennis de la Salut received the Sant Jordi Cross for his career that has made him vice-dean of the Catalan tennis clubs.

Over the years, the club has developed an important didactic function as a permanent tennis school. In the field of competition, it is represented by more than forty teams that participate in different championships in Catalonia, Spain and internationally.
